Staff opportunities UK wide for Freelance Paramedics. Long Running shoots available.
Working on TV sets or location typically involves long hours, often 10 to 12-hour shifts, either independently or with a team member. As a film unit medic, your primary responsibility is to ensure immediate medical assistance is available in the event of an accident or emergency, ranging from minor incidents to more serious injuries related to stunts or high-risk scenes. Additionally, you'll oversee the general well-being of the crew, including conducting arrival screenings and providing basic care, such as administering pain relief or dressing minor wounds
The workday in film is not always glamorous. While you may interact with actors, much of your time will involve staying focused and engaged throughout slow periods. This role is about being present, attentive, and helpful—not about collecting autographs or posting on social media. The impression you leave on cast and crew is crucial for future opportunities, and your professionalism, punctuality, and willingness to go the extra mile will be your best advertisement.
Film work is also unpredictable. Long hours, schedule changes, and location shifts are common. If you’re not comfortable with flexibility or navigation, this may not be the right career for you.
